Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Full-Time

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position within school districts in the Minden, LA area. We are seeking experienced professionals who are dedicated to improving students' communication skills and committed to fostering a supportive educational environment.

Position Overview: 

• Location: Minden, LA
• Job Type: Full-time contract

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs and goals of each student.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to ensure cohesive support for students.
• Provide direct therapy services to students with diverse speech and language impairments.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reports.
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations on speech and language objectives.
• Continuously monitor and adjust treatment plans to ensure the achievement of student goals.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Current Louisiana licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.

Requirements:

• Louisiana Department of Education license as an SLP.
• Successful completion of background check and fingerprint clearance.
• Adherence to all state and federal regulations governing the practice of speech-language pathology.
• Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and other educational frameworks.
