Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time, school-based position in Santa Fe, NM. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled professional dedicated to helping students achieve their highest potential through specialized therapy services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' motor skills, sensory processing, and overall functional abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with a range of disabilities, focusing on enhancing their ability to participate in classroom and school activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the students' educational programs and daily routines.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of student progress, therapy sessions, and assessments.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering professional insights to shape student goals and therapy strategies.
• Provide training and resources to staff and parents to support the continuation of therapy techniques outside of direct therapy sessions.

Qualifications:

• Must meet all local and state licensure and certification requirements for Occupational Therapy in New Mexico.
• Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for working effectively within a school environment.
