Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Paraprofessional for a full-time contract position in Dover, NH. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting educators and students within a school-based environment. Candidates must meet all local and state regulations for employment, with a strong preference for experience working with special education students and families.


  1. Provide direct support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with special education requirements, under the guidance of certified teachers.
  2. Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with special needs, ensuring goals and objectives are met.
  3. Collaborate with classroom teachers and other professionals to develop and implement instructional strategies and accommodations tailored to students' needs.
  4. Support students in academic tasks across various subjects, including reading, writing, math, and other core curriculum areas.
  5. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment by promoting student engagement, participation, and independence.
  6. Assist with managing classroom behavior and implementing positive behavior support strategies, reinforcing desired behaviors and helping students develop self-regulation skills.
  7. Support students with personal care tasks, such as toileting, feeding, and mobility, while maintaining their dignity and ensuring their safety.
  8. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to provide updates on student progress, address concerns, and collaborate on strategies for student success.
  9. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and behavior, and assist with data collection and reporting as needed.
  10. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting students with diverse needs and building inclusive learning environments.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate s or bachelor s degree preferred
  • Previous experience working with students in a school or educational setting, with a focus on special education highly preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience with special education laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Ability to pass background checks and meet all requirements set forth by local and state regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
