Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing for a dedicated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join a supportive school district in the North Chicago, Illinois area. This full-time role focuses on providing speech and language therapy services to students in grades K-3. We are open to considering strong Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) who meet the necessary qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for K-3 students and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure students receive the appropriate support.
- Provide both direct and indirect therapy, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate records, including IEPs, progress reports, and therapy notes, in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings and case conferences to advocate for student success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid state licensure or certification in Illinois as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- ASHA CCCs (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred but not required.
- Strong SLPAs will be considered, provided they meet all Illinois requirements.
- Prior experience working with elementary-aged children (K-3) is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
