Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Registered Behavior Technicians for a full-time role with school districts in the Huntsville, AL area. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing behavior support and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will be responsible for:
- Implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Collecting data on student behavior and tracking progress toward treatment goals.
- Providing direct one-on-one support to students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other behavioral needs.
- Assisting with the implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Teaching social skills, coping strategies, and other functional skills.
- Monitoring and documenting student behavior and communicating progress with the BCBA and other team members.
- Creating a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment.
- Providing feedback to parents and teachers about student progress and challenges.
Qualifications
Required Education and Certification:
- RBT Certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including background checks and other regulatory compliance.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with children or students with behavioral disorders, especially autism spectrum disorder, is preferred.
- Strong understanding of behavior analysis principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to work with students who require behavioral support.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow detailed instructions from supervisors.
