Now Hiring School Nurse (RN) - Contract Job

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for a dedicated and qualified School Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Kansas City, KS area. This is a full-time position working with local school districts to support student health and wellness.

Requirements:

Applicants must meet the following local and state requirements to be considered:

• Active state Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.

• A Bachelor  or Associates of Science in Nursing is required.

• Experience working with children or in a school setting is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding student health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct healthcare services to students, including medication administration, first aid, and health counseling.

• Develop and implement individualized health care plans (IHPs) for students with specific medical needs.

• Monitor and manage students with chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and epilepsy.

• Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate health records in compliance with state and district guidelines.

• Educate students and staff on health and wellness topics, including illness prevention and hygiene practices.

• Collaborate with school staff, families, and external healthcare providers to ensure a safe and healthy school environment.
