We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our educational institution in Austin, TX. Responsibilities:

• Full Time (Monday - Friday)
• Duration: 8/7/23 - 5/24/24
• Caseload: Multiple depending on your preference. We have openings for elementary working with autism, life skills, or core content.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Create and deliver engaging lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team to address students' individual needs.
• Provide support and accommodations to students during classroom activities and assessments.
• Utilize assistive technology and educational resources to enhance student learning experiences.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid Special Education teaching certification or license.
• Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students and their families.
• Proficiency in using educational technology tools and software.
