Responsibilities

As a Special Education Teacher, you will:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
• Adapt instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success.
• Assess student progress and adjust educational strategies as needed.
• Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to special education.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

Requirements

To apply, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Licensure: Valid Massachusetts Teaching License with Special Education Endorsement.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Experience: Proven experience working with students with special needs in a school setting.
• Skills: Strong communication, organization, and collaboration abilities.
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation.
• Adherence to all Massachusetts Department of Education requirements.
