Position: Full-Time Special Education Teacher

Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher for a full-time contract position in Kansas City, KS. This role is ideal for dedicated educators who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each student.
• Modify and adapt general education curriculum to ensure students with disabilities can access learning in an inclusive environment.
• Provide direct support and instruction to students with various disabilities in individual, small group, or classroom settings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school administrators, and support staff to ensure the successful inclusion of students.
• Regularly evaluate student progress and adjust instruction and IEPs to meet educational goals.
• Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers, providing updates on student progress and involving them in the educational process.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to special education.

Qualifications:

• Must hold current state certification to teach Special Education in Kansas.
• Previous experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
