Full-Time School Occupational Therapist (OT) – Central Falls, RI

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Occupational Therapists for a full-time position with school districts in the Central Falls, RI area. We are seeking skilled professionals who meet all state and local requirements to provide high-quality therapy services to students.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • Hold a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Possess an active Rhode Island OT license issued by the Rhode Island Department of Health
  • Hold an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Have prior experience working as a licensed Occupational Therapist, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
  • Meet all local and state requirements, including background checks, fingerprinting, and district-specific clearances

Responsibilities

As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, key duties may include:

  • Conducting evaluations to assess students' fine motor, sensory processing, and functional abilities
  • Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans to support students' educational needs
  • Collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff to ensure student success
  • Delivering direct therapy services in accordance with IEP goals and state guidelines
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and providing regular updates to the education team
  • Ensuring compliance with Rhode Island state regulations and district policies for school-based therapy services
