Blazer Jobs, a leading provider of educational support services, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Yuma, AZ. As a school-based OT, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized services to students, ensuring they have the support they need to thrive academically and socially.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to determine students' individual needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to implement strategies that promote students' success.
  • Monitor students' progress and adjust intervention plans as needed.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Arizona.
  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Minimum of one year of experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
