State Requirements & Experience:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Licensure: Active Alaska Occupational Therapy License.
  • Certification: NBCOT Certification required.
  • Additional Requirements: Completion of Alaska background checks and fingerprinting.
  • Experience: Prior experience working in school-based settings is preferred.

  • Evaluate and assess students with motor and sensory challenges.

  • Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students in various grade levels.
  • Work closely with educators, parents, and special education teams to support student development.
  • Maintain records and participate in IEP meetings to track student progress.
