State Requirements & Experience:

• Education: Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Licensure: Active Texas Occupational Therapy License.
• Certification: NBCOT Certification required.
• Additional Requirements: Must pass Texas background checks and fingerprinting.
• Experience: School-based or pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct student evaluations to assess fine motor, sensory, and functional needs.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with the IEP team.
• Provide direct therapy services and strategies to support student success in school.
• Educate and support teachers, staff, and families to facilitate students' skill development.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings.
