Description: Join our team in Algonquin, IL as an Occupational Therapist (OT) for the 2024-2025 school year! We have three openings for this role, with opportunities to work itinerantly, elementary or with middle school students (6th-8th grade). Provide essential support and therapy to help students thrive in their educational environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services tailored to each student's needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans.
  • Promote sensory processing, fine motor skills, visual motor skills, and executive functioning in students.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited institution, or a Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy supplemented with relevant school-based experience.
  • Valid state licensure as an occupational therapist in good standing.
  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Preferential consideration is given to candidates with prior experience working with children in educational environments.
  • Proficiency in sensory processing, fine motor skills, visual motor skills, and executive functioning.
