We are seeking a skilled School Social Worker to join our team in Anoka, Minnesota. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives by providing direct IEP service minutes and teaching vital social and emotional skills.

Position: Full-Time Onsite School Social Worker

Key Responsibilities:

  • IEP Services: Provide direct social work services as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support students with special needs.
  • Social/Emotional Skill Development: Develop and implement strategies and programs to enhance students' social and emotional skills, promoting positive behavior and academic success.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' needs and ensure a cohesive approach to their overall well-being.
  • Crisis Intervention: Respond to and manage crises effectively, providing support and resources to students and families as needed.
  • Assessment and Documentation: Conduct assessments, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports related to student progress and needs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Licensed Social Worker with the Minnesota Department of Education (MN DOE) certification.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required. Experience in providing direct social work services and teaching social/emotional skills is highly valued.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work collaboratively within a school team, and a genuine commitment to student success and well-being.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to create a supportive and inclusive environment for students.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in crisis intervention and problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with special education processes and IEP development.
