Job Description: We are seeking dedicated and qualified Onsite School Psychologists to join our school district in Blue Island, IL. As a School Psychologist, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs of our students in grades K-8. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to implement the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) process and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) systems.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to determine students' strengths, needs, and eligibility for special services
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Provide counseling and intervention services to students individually or in small groups to address social-emotional and behavioral concerns
- Participate in the MTSS process by analyzing student data, identifying areas of concern, and developing and implementing targeted interventions
- Support the implementation of PBIS systems to promote positive behavior and create a safe and inclusive school environment
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators regarding students' academic progress, behavioral strategies, and accommodations
- Collaborate with the school team to facilitate crisis intervention and provide support during challenging situations
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring data
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working as a School Psychologist is preferred, particularly in a K-8 educational setting
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools, data analysis, and intervention strategies
- Familiarity with the MTSS process and PBIS systems
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
