Description:

Blazer Jobs is currently seeking experienced School Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for full-time positions within school districts in the Blue Island, IL area. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing speech and language therapy services to students in accordance with local and state requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and goals.
  • Providing direct therapy services to students individually or in groups.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support students' academic success.
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress, and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and providing input regarding students' speech and language goals.
  • Adhering to all professional, ethical, and legal standards related to speech-language pathology practice.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Previous experience working in a school setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of current best practices and evidence-based interventions in speech-language pathology.
