Opportunity: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Blazer Jobs is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Athens, Georgia. Our mission is to provide exceptional special education support to students in our partnered schools, helping them overcome speech and language barriers to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' communication challenges.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students' unique speech and language needs.
• Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving articulation, fluency, language, and communication skills.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to ensure therapy goals are integrated into the students' academic environment.
• Monitor and track student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed for optimal outcomes.
• Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and provide ongoing support for students' academic and social development.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Georgia state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Minimum of one year of professional experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, therapy techniques, and interventions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with students, families, and educational staff.
