Position: Orthopedic Impairment Specialist (OIS)
Number of Positions: 1 (client's needs may fluctuate, open to considering more candidates)
Hours: Full-Time (37.5-40 hours per week depending on assigned caseload)
Dates: Approx. August 19, 2024 - June 4, 2025
Optional Training Date: August 13, 2024 (if cleared and available)

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthopedic Impairment Specialist (OIS) to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year in San Francisco, CA. This is a full-time, onsite position with responsibilities that include supporting the educational program of students with orthopedic impairments and integrating them into various educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and coordinate activities that support the students' educational programs.
  • Provide educational programs for individuals with exceptional needs.
  • Facilitate the integration of orthopedically impaired students into general education classrooms, resource classrooms, special day classrooms, and other school settings.
  • Manage a caseload that can range from kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and other school personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Must have active and in good-standing CA OIS credentials.
  • School-based experience and IEP experience are preferred.
  • Alignment with district values of being student-centered, fearless, united, social justice-oriented, and diversity-driven.
  • Alignment with team values of being anti-racist, neurodiversity-affirming, and collaborative.
  • A long-term commitment to the district is preferred over short-term assignments.

Pay Rate:

  • $50/hr - $60/hr depending on experience and qualifications.
