Blazer Jobs is excited to announce a full-time, onsite Paraprofessional position in Willimantic, CT, for the current school year. We are partnering with the local school district to provide exceptional educational support. This position offers vision, medical, and dental options, competitive pay, advisory support, and professional development opportunities.

Position Details:

• Hours: 8:15 am - 3:45 pm, Monday to Friday (35 hours weekly; hours may vary)
• Caseload: Autism classroom, 7 kindergarten students (paras & teacher are in the class)

Daily Responsibilities:

• Assist the classroom teacher in implementing educational plans and activities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with autism.
• Support students with daily routines, including transitions and activities.
• Monitor and document student progress.
• Collaborate with the teacher and other paraprofessionals to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assist with classroom management and behavioral interventions as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• DOE Certification

Renewal for the following school year is based on performance and needs.
