Paraprofessional (Instructional Assistant) – Full-Time

Location: Manville, NJ
School Year: Current School Year
Pay: $20 - $30 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional (Instructional Assistant) to support students of varying levels in an educational setting. This is a full-time, onsite position offering up to 40 hours per week with structured classroom responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• New Jersey Instructional Substitute Certification
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting student growth
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a dynamic classroom setting
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology tools

Daily Responsibilities:

• Support instruction by assisting in delivering lessons and reinforcing concepts through one-on-one or small group instruction
• Provide academic and behavioral support to diverse learners
• Assist in maintaining a structured and inclusive classroom environment
• Help with material preparation, including setting up resources, distributing materials, and organizing lesson plans
• Support assessment administration, grading, and progress tracking
• Collaborate with teachers, sharing student observations and insights
• Supervise students during transitions, recess, and lunch to ensure safety and positive interactions
• Participate in training and workshops to enhance professional skills

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM (hours may vary)
