Paraprofessional Needed for Bus Routes near Lakewood, CO (ASAP 5/23/25)

Are you passionate about supporting students and ensuring their safety during transportation? We are looking for a Paraprofessional to assist students on bus routes in Littleton, just 25 minutes from Lakewood. This role does not involve driving the bus but requires helping students with behavioral or special needs during transit.

Position Details:

• Location: Littleton, CO (25 minute drive from Lakewood, CO)
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM & 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (25 hours/week)
• Start Date: ASAP – End Date: 5/23/25
• Compensation: $25/hr

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 or small group support for students with behavioral or special needs during transportation
• Ensure student safety while boarding, riding, and exiting the bus
• Assist in emergency situations (candidates must be able to complete a physical exam, including dragging/pulling a dummy off the bus if necessary)
• Communicate effectively with bus drivers and school staff

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a school setting (experience with autism & behavioral needs preferred)
• Must have reliable transportation (will report to the Transportation Office)
• Must complete fingerprinting during onboarding (any felony or misdemeanor charges will result in District rejection)
• Ability to pass a physical exam before starting
