Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Paraprofessional to join our team for a full-time, school-based contract position in the Flint, MI area. We are actively interviewing candidates who meet the qualifications and are passionate about supporting students, especially those with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in providing educational support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students, including those with special needs, under the direction of the teacher.
• Support students in academic tasks, social interactions, and behavioral management.
• Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and modify classroom materials to meet students’ needs.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, and recess.
• Assist with classroom organization, preparation of instructional materials, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other support personnel to enhance student success.
• Monitor and assist students with physical or emotional needs when necessary.

Requirements:

• Must meet all qualifications and certifications as required by local and state regulations.
• Previous experience working with special education students is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
