Job Title: Full-Time Paraeducator
Location: Grand Rapids, MI

As a Paraeducator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational needs of students, contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities:

Provide assistance to classroom teachers in implementing instructional activities
Support students with diverse learning needs in both individual and group settings
Assist with the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and other specialized plans
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and other staff to meet the individual needs of students
Help manage and maintain a safe and organized learning space
Provide additional support during field trips, assemblies, and other school activities
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Other duties as assigned by the school or district administration
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred
Experience working with students in an educational or community setting is a plus
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Patience, flexibility, and a passion for supporting the success of all students
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development
Ability to adapt to the changing needs of students and the school community
