Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join our team in San Jose, CA. As a Paraprofessional, you will support teachers and students, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with classroom instruction, supervision, and student engagement.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with academic or behavioral needs.
- Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans for students who require accommodations.
- Support students with social-emotional development and daily learning activities.
- Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and administrative tasks.
- Monitor student behavior and progress, reporting observations to teachers and staff.
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Associate’s degree, 60 college credits, or ParaPro Assessment certification (preferred).
- Experience working with students or children in an educational setting (preferred).
- Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt, problem-solve, and provide support for diverse student needs.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain required California state clearances.
- Willingness to participate in training and professional development.
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred but not required).
