Paraprofessional (Para) for 1:1 Care in Gettysburg, PA

Caseload:
We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant/Paraprofessional to support a 1st-grade student in an elementary school setting. This role involves helping the student navigate the classroom and school environment, keeping them on task, and assisting in building their independence.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to a 1st-grade student
• Assist the student in navigating the classroom and school environment
• Help the student stay on task and engage in classroom activities
• Support the student in building independence and confidence
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure the student’s success

Required Credentials:

• Must meet para certification exemption requirements:
  • Associate's degree or higher, OR
  • At least 48 college credits
• If not exempt, must obtain para certification within 90 days of employment
• Experience working in a school setting or with children
