Caseload:
We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant/Paraprofessional to support a 1st-grade student in an elementary school setting. This role involves helping the student navigate the classroom and school environment, keeping them on task, and assisting in building their independence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to a 1st-grade student
- Assist the student in navigating the classroom and school environment
- Help the student stay on task and engage in classroom activities
- Support the student in building independence and confidence
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure the student’s success
Required Credentials:
- Must meet para certification exemption requirements:
- Associate's degree or higher, OR
- At least 48 college credits
- If not exempt, must obtain para certification within 90 days of employment
- Experience working in a school setting or with children
