Job Description:
Help students succeed in Norfolk by:

• Assisting students with special needs in inclusive classroom settings.
• Supporting teachers with lesson preparation, delivery, and classroom management.
• Reinforcing core academic skills, such as reading, writing, and mathematics, in small groups or individually.
• Supervising students during non-instructional times to ensure safety and engagement.
• Encouraging independence and socialization among students with diverse needs.

Position Requirements:

• Completion of a background check and fingerprinting (as required by the district).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Pass a state-approved assessment demonstrating your ability to assist with reading, writing, and mathematics.
