Are you passionate about helping students thrive academically and socially? As a Paraprofessional, you will play a key role in supporting classroom teachers by assisting with instructional activities, student supervision, and providing one-on-one or small group support. You'll work closely with students, helping them reach their full potential in a positive and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities, reinforcing lessons and providing one-on-one or small group support to students.
- Help prepare materials and resources for lessons, ensuring a productive and organized learning environment.
- Support classroom management by monitoring student behavior and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Work closely with students to provide academic, social, and emotional support, helping them stay on track with their learning goals.
- Assist students with special needs, ensuring they have the necessary accommodations and modifications for their individual educational plans (IEPs).
- Help maintain accurate records such as attendance, grades, and progress reports.
- Assist with grading and providing feedback on student assignments under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to provide feedback on student progress.
- Foster positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents, serving as a key support figure in the classroom.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Paraprofessional certification, Associate's degree, or completion of 60 college credit hours required.
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of students and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support student success.
