Paraprofessional

BlazerJobs is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional for a school-based position in Vancouver, WA. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students while working in a supportive school environment. The position is available in both full-time and part-time options.

Position Details:

• Location: Vancouver, WA
• Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time, Contract (35 hours/week for full-time)

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students with disabilities in the classroom, assisting them with academic tasks, social skills, and daily routines
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral interventions under the direction of teachers and specialists
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce lessons and academic skills
• Assist with classroom management and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Help students with transitions between classes, lunchtime, and other school activities
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and parents to support student progress and growth
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviors, and support needs
• Participate in staff meetings, IEP meetings, and ongoing professional development as required

Experience & Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents
• Patience and a passion for supporting students with special needs
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or Paraeducator Certification is a plus
