Blazer Jobs is currently seeking experienced Paraprofessionals for full-time positions within school districts in the Mt. Prospect, IL area.

Position Summary: As a Paraprofessional, you will work closely with teachers and other educational professionals to support the instructional and behavioral needs of students in the classroom. You will provide direct assistance to students with diverse learning needs, helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements: Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to work as a Paraprofessional in Illinois. Essential qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Paraprofessional training program or eligibility for such training.
  • Experience working with students in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in implementing instructional activities and strategies to support students' academic and social-emotional development.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, reinforcing learning concepts and assisting with assignments as directed by the teacher.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior support, implementing positive behavior interventions and strategies to promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with special needs, including those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
  • Help students with personal care needs, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility, as required.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to implement accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information and adhere to all relevant privacy laws and regulations.
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in working with students with diverse needs.
