Paraprofessional (PARA) needed for 2023/2024 SY near Fort Smith, AR
We are currently seeking highly motivated Paraprofessionals (PARA) near Fort Smith, AR for the 23/24 School Year. The Paraprofessionals will work to enrich the student s experience in class. They will collaborate with Teachers and oversee students so that they get more hands-on attention and personalized help.
Location: Fort Smith, AR
Start: ASAP 23/24 SY
Full Time: 37.5 hours/week
Responsibilities:

• Caseloads: 1:1 support for a visually impaired high school student
• Job entails IEP paperwork, classroom management, and small works organization.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others and understand individual students needs.
• Ability to accurately record and summarize data as directed by the special education teacher.
• Willingness to participate in pre and ongoing training programs.
• Understand the individual needs of students as described in their IEP.

Must Haves:

• High school diploma.
• Previous experience with children or students with special needs.
