Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Occupational Therapist to join our school team in California. This is a part-time contract position with guaranteed hours. The selected candidate will work closely with 8-9 students, providing essential services, including Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) support. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students' occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans in line with IEP goals.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to ensure a holistic approach to therapy.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings to review and update therapy goals and objectives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports.
- Stay informed about best practices and developments in occupational therapy.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of California.
- Experience in pediatric occupational therapy is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Understanding of IEP processes and special education services.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a school environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
