Position: Part-Time Occupational Therapist

Location: California (CA)

Contract Type: Contract Position

Hours: 8 hours per week

Number of Students: 8-9

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Occupational Therapist to join our school team in California. This is a part-time contract position with guaranteed hours. The selected candidate will work closely with 8-9 students, providing essential services, including Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) support. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students' occupational therapy needs.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans in line with IEP goals.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to ensure a holistic approach to therapy.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings to review and update therapy goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports.
  • Stay informed about best practices and developments in occupational therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of California.
  • Experience in pediatric occupational therapy is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Understanding of IEP processes and special education services.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a school environment.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
