Part-Time Occupational Therapist (OT) Position

Blazer Jobs is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a part-time contract role in a school-based setting in Jesup, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for an occupational therapist looking to make a positive impact on students, especially those with special needs, while meeting all local and state regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations to assess students' occupational therapy needs and develop personalized therapy goals.
• Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and other essential skills for academic and daily life success.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that meet the needs of students.
• Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure therapy goals are being met.
• Assist students in improving daily living skills and increasing independence.
• Provide training to teachers and parents on strategies to integrate occupational therapy goals into the classroom and home environments.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school district and state regulations.
• Attend IEP meetings and work as part of a team to ensure students are receiving the best support possible.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Georgia.
• Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of IEP development and the special education process.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a school setting.
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to student development and success.
