Part Time Paraprofessional Needed in New Jersey!

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Paraprofessional to join our team and support students in grades 1 through 3. This part-time position offers the opportunity to work directly with students and provide essential support in various classroom settings. Based on experience, the supervisor will determine the most suitable position for the candidate among the available roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to students in grades 1 through 3, assisting with academic tasks, behavioral management, and social development.
• Assist in the MD (Mild/Moderate Disabilities) room for K-1 or 1st-3rd grades, depending on assignment.
• Work closely with classroom teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt lessons to meet the needs of students.
• Support students with daily routines and transitions between activities.
• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students, staff, and parents.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in education is a plus.
• Experience working in a school setting, particularly with elementary-aged students.
• Understanding of and ability to assist with the needs of students with disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A score of 456 on the Parapro test or an Associate's degree.
