Blazer Jobs is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapist (PT) for a school-based position in New Britain, CT. This is an onsite, part-time opportunity for the current school year, in partnership with the school district.

Position Details:

• Location: Adelbrook Academy Cromwell, New Britain, CT
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: June 9, 2025
• Schedule: Part-time, 120 minutes per month of direct services (.5 hours per week), 60 minutes per month of consultation, 18 hours of compensatory services, and 1:1 service.
• Grade: 12

Student Information:

• Present Level of Performance: Able to walk without devices but requires adult supervision for safety; prefers adult contact for assistance.
• Strengths: Able to navigate 14 stairs independently with supervision; kicks a ball with force without balance loss; participates with moderate assistance in stretching and strengthening; walks 1 lap with verbal cues and contact guarding.
• Concerns/Needs: To improve participation and decrease needed assistance in mobility and gross motor tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect services as specified.
• Collaborate with other professionals and provide consultation.
• Focus on improving physical participation and reducing assistance in mobility and gross motor tasks.
• Develop and implement strategies to support student independence in physical tasks.

Requirements:

• Active PT License in CT
• School-based experience required
• CTSEDS experience preferred, but assistance will be provided if needed
• District fingerprints and background check required
