As a School OT, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of our students 2 day a week until 12/21/23 for a maternity leave contract. Your expertise will help students with diverse needs achieve their full potential and participate actively in their education.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in groups
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy into the classroom environment
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and contribute to the planning process
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Illinois state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- School-based or pediatric experience is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A passion for helping students achieve their goals
