Part-Time School Physical Therapist (PT) Job - Leave Coverage

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Physical Therapists for a part-time contract position in St. Johns, MI, covering a maternity leave. This school-based role provides an excellent opportunity to support students in their physical development and mobility needs.

Job Requirements:

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet all local and state licensure requirements for practicing as a Physical Therapist in Michigan. Candidates with experience working with special education students and families are highly preferred.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

As a School-Based Physical Therapist, you will:

• Conduct student assessments and evaluations to determine therapy needs.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide direct physical therapy services to students to support their academic and functional goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education staff to enhance student success.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines.
• Participate in IEP meetings to discuss student progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Provide training and guidance to school staff and families regarding mobility strategies and accessibility accommodations.
