Position: Part-time, Onsite
Duration: ASAP – May 30th, 2025
Schedule: 4 days a week, 28 hours total (Student out on Thursdays for therapy)
Hours: 9:15 AM - 4:10 PM (7-hour days)

Blazer Jobs is partnering with the school district in Avon, IN, to find a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) for a 4th-grade student with Down Syndrome. This part-time, onsite position is available for the current school year.

Basic Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 interpretation support for a 4th-grade student with Down Syndrome.
• Assist in facilitating communication between the student and their peers, as well as with educators.
• Interpret lessons and classroom activities in a clear and effective manner.
• Support the student’s educational progress through consistent interpretation, both in academic and social settings.
• Maintain a professional and supportive environment for the student and school community.

State Requirements:

• Must have either National Interpreter Certification (NIC) or Certified Deaf Interpreter Certification (CDI).
• Candidates who do not meet requirements will not be considered.
