Part-Time Special Education Teacher Needed in Strafford, NH

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for a part-time role within school districts in the Strafford, NH area. This position involves supporting an 8th-grade student with special education needs, focusing on English tutoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students, focusing on their specific learning needs.
• Provide direct instruction in English, tailored to an 8th-grade student with special education needs.
• Modify curriculum to align with student learning styles and abilities.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed to ensure academic growth.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Conduct assessments to track student progress and provide regular updates to parents and school staff.
• Support the student in meeting grade-level standards while addressing any additional learning challenges.

Special Requirements: 

• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher in the state of New Hampshire.
• A bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Experience working with middle school students, particularly in one-on-one or small group settings.
• Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and curriculum modification strategies.
• Passing a comprehensive background check in accordance with state and district regulations.
