Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students, focusing on their specific learning needs.
- Provide direct instruction in English, tailored to an 8th-grade student with special education needs.
- Modify curriculum to align with student learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed to ensure academic growth.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Conduct assessments to track student progress and provide regular updates to parents and school staff.
- Support the student in meeting grade-level standards while addressing any additional learning challenges.
Special Requirements:
- Current certification as a Special Education Teacher in the state of New Hampshire.
- A bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Experience working with middle school students, particularly in one-on-one or small group settings.
- Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and curriculum modification strategies.
- Passing a comprehensive background check in accordance with state and district regulations.
