Part Time Special Education Teachers | South Carolina

Who are you?

• Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.

• Licensure: Active SC SPED license for PreK students

• Experience: Experience working with PreK students with diverse needs, including those with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, emotional/behavioral disorders, and other disabilities.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
• Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Preferred: Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with special needs.

What will you do?

• Assess Students: Assessing and tracking students' skills and learning requirements 
• Plan Lessons: Adapting lesson plans to meet each student' individualized needs 
• Communicate: Periodically communicates with parents regarding their child’s educational progress
• Manage the Classroom: Maintains discipline in the classroom
• Assist Students: Assisting disabled students with their personal and self-help needs 
• IEPs: Developing, modifying, and updating IEPs

What is in it for you?

• Caseload: Self-contained classroom position would be for ~10 kiddos in potentially 3k and/or 4k; SPED would have an assistant
• Compensation: $30-$40 /hr; based on experience
• Payment Structure: Weekly pay
• Expected Schedule: Part Time
• Contract Start: ASAP
