We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Los Gatos, just a 20 minute drive from San Jose. This part-time position involves working with a high school population, specifically focusing on a caseload of 16 moderate to severe students. The role is critical in providing direct speech and language therapy services and ensuring that each student receives the support they need to succeed.

Employment Type: Part-Time (0.4 FTE, 2 Days/Week)
Hourly Wage: $65-$70

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Therapy Services: Provide individualized speech and language therapy to high school students with moderate to severe needs.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students' speech and language needs, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement IEP goals and ensure coordinated care for each student.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, therapy sessions, and communications with families and staff.
  • IEP Participation: Actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing to the development and adjustment of student plans as necessary.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with best practices, emerging research, and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.


  • Licensure: Current license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of California.
  • Experience: Experience working with high school students with moderate to severe speech and language needs is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment: A genuine commitment to supporting the development and success of students with special needs.

Additional Information:

  • Teletherapy: This position is a hard no to virtual and other teletherapy options; parents and the school community prefer in-person services.
  • SLPAs: This position does not involve or support the use of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
