Part-Time Teacher for the Visually Impaired
Blazer Jobs is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a part-time position working with a medically fragile kindergarten student. This role focuses on providing targeted speech and language support to improve communication skills and access to learning.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to determine the student’s speech and language needs
- Develop and implement an individualized treatment plan
- Utilize assistive technology and augmentative communication tools as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to support the student's progress
- Provide direct therapy sessions tailored to the student's medical and vision-related needs
Qualifications
- Active state SLP license and certification
- Experience working with medically fragile students preferred
- Knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
