Job Overview:
We are seeking a paraprofessional to provide a special education (SPED) student 1:1 support at the kindergarten level. This full time role will involve assisting students with special education needs in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-class support to students with special education needs.
- Assist with academic tasks, behavioral management, and classroom activities as directed by the teacher.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Help manage classroom behavior and support students' social and emotional development.
- Provide personal care assistance such as diapering and feeding as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or Higher or
- Active paraprofessional certification in California
- Experience working in a special education setting providing behavioral support required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to varying schedules and classroom needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
