Pre-K Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Needed ASAP - Statesville

Hours: 36.25 hours per week, 7 AM - 2:15 PM

We are seeking a dedicated, certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students with visual impairments in their academic journey. The TVI will provide direct instruction in Braille, assistive technology, and essential life skills while collaborating with staff, families, and students to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment. This role will work with students across elementary, middle, or high school levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction in Braille, assistive technology, and orientation and mobility.
• Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement IEPs.
• Adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet individual student needs.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid Educator Credential: Visually Impaired
•  Previous experience working with students with visual impairments preferred
• Strong understanding of Braille, assistive technologies, and other tools for the visually impaired
