To work as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Michigan, applicants must have a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, an active Michigan SLP license from LARA, and ASHA’s Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred. School-based SLPs must also hold a Michigan Department of Education (MDE) teaching certificate.

Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work with preschool and elementary students in Coldwater, MI. This role allows you to work with young learners at a critical stage in their speech and language development, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive academically.

Job Description:

• Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in preschool and elementary students.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student development.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student learning plans.
• Provide speech therapy services in group and one-on-one settings.
• Maintain records of student progress and ensure compliance with school and state policies.

Experience and Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Michigan SLP license and MDE certification.
• ASHA CCC preferred but not required.
• Experience working with preschool and elementary students.
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and early language intervention.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
