Providence, RI - Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Coventry, RI (2-Month Assignment, Possible Extension)

Job Type: Full-Time (35 hours/week)

Dates: ASAP – October 31, 2024 (with potential to extend for the full school year)

Location: Coventry, RI

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Caseload:

• Transitions program for students aged 18-22
• About 15 students, with 3-4 having healthcare plans
• Includes 1:1 support for a summer student with a para
• Assignment involves community-based support, such as traveling to job sites with students
• You will need to ride the bus with students, adding up to an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon, depending on the bus route

Responsibilities:

• Provide healthcare support to students in the Transitions program
• Assist with students’ healthcare needs while in the classroom, on job sites, and during bus rides
• Collaborate with the High School Nurse Teacher to ensure effective care
• Monitor and manage students’ healthcare plans

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Rhode Island
• Experience with students aged 18-22 is preferred
• Ability to provide community-based support and ride the bus with students
