Registered Nurse Needed in School District - Monroe, NC

Job Title: Full-Time School Nurse (RN)
Location: Monroe, NC

As a School Nurse, you will play a crucial role in promoting the health and well-being of students, ensuring a safe and supportive school environment. Responsibilities:

Assess and provide care for students who become ill or injured during school hours
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Develop and implement individualized health plans for students with chronic conditions
Monitor and promote compliance with immunization requirements
Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate health records
Collaborate with school staff to address health-related concerns and provide training on health-related topics
Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed
Educate students and staff on health and wellness topics
Participate in the development of school safety plans
Support the mental health and well-being of students
Qualifications:

Current and valid RN license in the state of North Carolina
Experience in pediatric or school nursing is preferred
CPR and First Aid certification
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and school staff
Understanding of relevant health laws, regulations, and policies
Compassion and dedication to promoting a healthy and safe school environment
