Position Overview:

• Role: School Registered Nurse (RN)
• Employment Type: Part-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Student Health Care: Provide first aid, administer medications, and address immediate healthcare needs for students.
• Chronic Condition Management: Monitor and manage chronic health issues such as asthma and diabetes, offering ongoing care to students with specific medical requirements.
• Health Screenings: Conduct routine health assessments and screenings, identifying students who may need further medical evaluation.
• Collaboration: Work with parents, healthcare providers, and school staff to develop and implement individualized care plans for students with medical needs.
• Health Education: Promote healthy practices and provide education on disease prevention to students and staff.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, confidential health records in compliance with school policies and state regulations.

Qualifications:

• Licensure: Must hold a valid RN license in Kansas and meet state and district requirements.
• Experience: Previous experience in a school setting or working with children is preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Ability to work collaboratively and maintain attention to detail.
