Our partner school in the state of New Mexico is looking to find a kind and compassionate School Counselor to join our Special Education team for the full school year. As a School Counselor you will be providing essential support to our students facing social, emotional, economic, and environmental challenges!
Requirements:
- Must have a Masters Degree in Counseling
- Must have a New Mexico School Counseling Certificate
- Must have School Counselor License in state of residency, if applicable
Previous experience preferred, but not required.
General Responsibilities:
Assess the social and emotional needs of students and develop intervention strategies to address these needs.
Provide direct support services through counseling, crisis intervention, and case management.
Serve as a liaison between the school and external agencies, facilitating access to community resources for students and families.
Position Details:
Current School Year
Full-Time: up to 40 hours per week
Caseload: supporting high school students, additional details will be discussed during the interview process.
Pay Range: $30 - $45 per hour, depending on previous experience
Benefits:
Hourly pay rate based upon previous experience, and will be paid on a weekly basis
1099 contractor position
