Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Resource Setting, Grades 4 and 5)

Location: Massachusetts (MA)

Job Type: Contract (Full-time or Part-time)

Hours: 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Position Duration: 3 to 5 days per week, 6.5 hours per day

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in a resource setting for Grades 4 and 5. This position offers flexibility, allowing candidates to choose between full-time or part-time employment. As a Special Education Teacher, you will primarily engage in small group work focused on English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics, with the possibility of some in-class support.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
• Conduct small group instruction in ELA and Math, tailoring lessons to meet students' unique requirements.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to provide in-class support and accommodations.
• Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP documentation.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification in the state of Massachusetts.
• Strong knowledge of Special Education laws and regulations.
• Experience working with students in Grades 4 and 5 preferred.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
