Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Resource Setting, Grades 4 and 5)

Hours: 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Position Duration: 3 to 5 days per week, 6.5 hours per day
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in a resource setting for Grades 4 and 5. This position offers flexibility, allowing candidates to choose between full-time or part-time employment. As a Special Education Teacher, you will primarily engage in small group work focused on English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics, with the possibility of some in-class support.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
- Conduct small group instruction in ELA and Math, tailoring lessons to meet students' unique requirements.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to provide in-class support and accommodations.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP documentation.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification in the state of Massachusetts.
- Strong knowledge of Special Education laws and regulations.
- Experience working with students in Grades 4 and 5 preferred.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
